Saw League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, The (2003) on HBO last week. It was better than I had thought it would be and has inspired me to read “The picture of Dorian Grey” I found the size of the Nautilus fascinating and I am sure it is not due to any phallic reference.
Capt. Nemo was a total ass kicker. Connery did his usual wonderful role and the cast of other “gentlemen” (including one not so gentlewoman) was pretty well done. The plot was fairly dumb, but I was in the mood to look past that and enjoy the vague literary references and have a fun time.
Yeah, I agree, the movie was better than I expected. Speaking of Connery, I want to see the movie, “The Hill” and “The Molly Maguires” (Because I saw a blurb about this on The Travel Channel).
