So yesterday Elizabeth starts a game of Zelda. I didn’t think she was into those types of games, but good on her! So I aided her where I could. She self-admittedly isn’t very good at the dexterity part, but she is excellent at the puzzles.
My favorite Wii moment has to be the following. It is a Zelda spoiler (gives away a bit of the game) so I put it in the extended section of this post. You’ll need to click “Read More…” below to read it (so gamers don’t accidentally see something they didn’t want to see)…… While as a wolf in the cage, Elizabeth was running around trying to figure out how to get out of the cage. I asked her what she saw, and she said “I see this” pointing at the boxes.
Then in a Wii zen moment, she waved her hands as if confused and said (I think) “I am not sure what it is” Her wolf did a spin attack and broke the boxes. “Whoa, did I do that?” she said. You see, as the human character, waving the nunchuck will do a spin attack – and so it does as a wolf.
The fact that the Wii is motion sensitive helped her figure out the puzzle via a gesture of confusion. How cool is that?
