So my new iPhone 4 can’t make calls. On 3G, I get 1 bar or no service. On my 3GS, things were not great, but I could make calls, but they might drop.
AT&T now says my closest tower is 3.5 miles away, with heavy terrain blockage, while the second tower is 4.8 miles away with even more blockage from terrain.
She said the map on att.com shows 3G data signal, which is strong, but not voice. Is this all crap?
The level 1 tech said that there was a tower under-performing in the area, but the level 3 tech said all towers were fine. More consistency.
So so far, I have a useless phone at home. More as I investigate.
Update: The $100 microcell rebate is only if you sign up for the $20/month unlimited minutes plan. LOL. No wonder we all hate AT&T
