WoW, there was just an ad for Macs on the show “Las Vegas” (About a casino) They have an “iLounge” and the head of security says “These new Intel iMacs are great, twice as fast and they have a built in camera” and they cut to the two of them on Photo Booth. I am… Continue reading Macs on “Las Vegas”

Time for a new line of Macintosh ads
I’m not very happy with the new Apple ads. Sure, I am the biggest Mac biggot of them all, but like the switcher ads which didn’t work to much success, I don’t think that belittling others is a way to endear them. Ok, the Mac is better at viruses and networking and such, but it… Continue reading Time for a new line of Macintosh ads
Ah! My Shredder is alive!
Twice today my shredder started shredding. I’ve had it for 4 1/2 years, so this is surely new behavior. It turns out that with the move, the recent sun and the new location of said shredder, the sunlight hits the sensor just right to trick it into thinking the sensor is blocked and thus it… Continue reading Ah! My Shredder is alive!
When did Amazon start sucking?
I am looking for Walter Moers’ “A wild ride through the night” in English. I found it on Amazon.de. Searching Amazon.com for 10 minutes and I find this edition but it is in German, I think. They don’t tell me but the title is. Ok so I click “All Editions” and it gives me tons… Continue reading When did Amazon start sucking?
Hello from Canada!
Just a quick hello to say I’ve been in Canada all week. The weather has been gorgeous up until today. I have been working and fighting a cold – I think the cold won, but I feel rejuvenated now for this final push. The cross of brands between countries is interesting here – I can… Continue reading Hello from Canada!
iTunes South Park Bait and Switch
Wow Apple just pulled a bait and switch. When I ordered South Park Season 10, it said it included all episodes of Season 10. Now there is an asterik, that says Season 10b starts later in the year and is not included. Time to complain.

Getting healthy
So its no new news that I have been working on my issues for a long time – Productivity, lack of sleep, self-judgementalism, etc, etc. I have a new therapist who is great and in a while, I’ll even have a nutritionist who will work on foods for what my body needs and exercise. So,… Continue reading Getting healthy
Apple revises MacBook Pro
According to Daily Tech, Apple has now released 3 revisions of the MacBook Pro hardware. The latter having no known issues. I am glad my order took so long and was BTO as I have W8612, the latest known version. I still think there are wifi issues with speed, reconnecting and very hot temperature issues… Continue reading Apple revises MacBook Pro

Fun with Photo Booth
My MacBook Pro arrived today! I used the migration assistant to copy things over, sans the Applications. Because of preinstalled apps, I didn’t have enough space. After an hour or so it was done. Ethernet did not work, but a reboot fixed that. The machine is much hotter than my PB 1.67, which was always… Continue reading Fun with Photo Booth
I’m home!
I’m home and Coral walked while I was on the plane trip back! I can’t wait to see video! It must have been all of that reading we did Saturday night 🙂 I also want to thank my friends and family who have been there through this last six weeks or so. It is been… Continue reading I’m home!
Coral’s First Birthday
My niece is the cutest one year old on the planet of course! Here are Pictures of Proof!
Goodbye, Chef
We do love you Issac, even though your brain was scrambled by a fruity little club. I won’t be watching MI:III either. I’ve lost all interest for anything starring Tom Cruise. I’m most sad at Hayes for being so hypocritical. South Park’s beauty is that it pokes fun at everyone, every religion, every celebrity. That… Continue reading Goodbye, Chef

Makin a roast
So as part of my self-improvement, I am learning to cook a little. Making a roast in the crock pot that Sara got for me (bless her soul, yes we’re just friends) I put in a 4lb roast, taters, carrots, onions and peppers. Oh and a little water. 3 hours later on slow I read… Continue reading Makin a roast
Did I finally get iChat 3 A/V Working?
Thanks to info at Ralph John’s iChat Page, I finally got iChat AV working, we think. It still depends on the remote end being configured properly, so if you have problems, see the linked image. Basically I turned off uPNP and used port triggering instead. I have a Linksys WRT54GS v1.1 with Firmware Version: v3.37.6… Continue reading Did I finally get iChat 3 A/V Working?
So what is up with Steve?
Ordered a MacBook Pro! Should arrive by the end of the month! Demoed Sophie to our investors – Everything went well! Released a beta of BetterHTMLExport for Intel Macs! Recently single. I know. Sigh.
