I called Apple on Wednesday about the kernel panics that Keynote was triggering. They had me delete two plists: /Library/Preferences/com.apple.Keynote.plist ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Keynote.plist I am not sure if this is a real solution, but I have not had once since doing this.

Bookmark window request
Dear Safariers, I would like to be able to open a folder from the Bookmarks menu (either pane) into it’s own separate window. I find this useful for arranging lots and lots of bookmarks that are in a very deep hierarchy.
Wow – this made my day
I recently was reintroduced to Runtime Revolution at MacWorld, and a little twinge of nostalgia from my Voyager days hit me. I had this feeling of comfort, of knowing where I belonged for a while, and decided to look into this product again. So I joined their development mailing list and introduced myself with some… Continue reading Wow – this made my day
Two things I need from a Safari
As I surf the jungles of the world, I find myself needing two things my current host is not supplying. First off, and most importantly, is Keychain passwords. Not just realm passwords, but forms as well. Chimera does this wonderfully and I was told at MacWorld Expo that Apple is considering this as well. I… Continue reading Two things I need from a Safari

Keynote
I bought Keynote from Apple today. What a great app! Click on the resume link at the top of this page to see a movie I made with Keynote. One issue is huge though – Keynote seems to cause Kernel Panics frequently while playing presentations. You can follow others with this problem here
My first Jag KP
I just had my first Jaguar Kernel Panic. I think it is related to QuickTime 6.1. I had double clicked a movie my brother sent me. The QuickTime Player launched, but the frame didn’t fully draw. I could not force quit the player and as soon as I lauched another application that used QuickTime, I… Continue reading My first Jag KP
Safari Bookmark Manager
I really like the Safari bookmark manager. I like having seperate bookmarks for my menu, my bookmark bar and then the manager itself. I like how it pulls in all URLs from my Address book – Finally! Very nicely done! (now just add those tabbed bookmarks and form passwords on keychains)

Safari News
I spoke with some people about Safari, Apple’s new web browser. They didn’t like tabs too much, but I told them “It is an option, and a lot of people do like them!” When mentioning form passwords saved on the keychain, he said “this is in the works now.” Whoot! They also agreed that it… Continue reading Safari News
DVD Studio Express – You read it here first
While talking with an Apple staffmember about iDVD and not supporting anamorphic, he mentioned that DVD Studio Pro did anamorphic movies. I then noted how iDVD and DVD Studio Pro are on different planets in terms of ease of use. He replied: “I can’t comment on unannounced product.” So I took this and later in… Continue reading DVD Studio Express – You read it here first
What would a medium sized AlBook look like?
Check it out for yourself!
Run, don’t walk to see this ad!
hahahahahaha! this is SO GREAT! Big and Small
Final Cut Express
Final Cut Express shows Apple is listening. At ONE THIRD the cost of Final Cut Pro, FCE does everything I want, including: titles non-linear editing chapters anamorphic video etc, etc One thing I cannot confirm is if FCE stores the timecode for clips, allowing you to dump the media and re-record that clip media off… Continue reading Final Cut Express
TiVo gets rendevouz!

Post from Safari
Am using Safari 1.0 beta to post this entry. Safari looks nice for a first attempt. Not sure it is always faster than Chimera. Since Safari does not support tabbed browsing, nor does it use the keychain to store form passwords, I’m sticking with Chimera. Those interested in seeing these features in Safari, please use… Continue reading Post from Safari

McDonalds and Apple Computer Inc annouced today that due to lagging sales at both companies, they have teamed together to form the Big iMac. Shipping with Secret Sauce 2.0, the Big iMac is “one hell of a tasty Mac,” according to Steve Jobs. Also on the new Dollar Menu is smallPod, an MP3 Player that… Continue reading This just in
Looking deep inside
I’ve had some incredible experiences as of late – None of which I will recount, but conversations, awakenings, metaphysical “ahas” which are not quite at the level of an epiphany. Somehow the cosmic slide rule is in motion and the numbers are starting to make sense in a bizarre manner. Gears aligning, stars opening up… Continue reading Looking deep inside
